O que é a mistura de preservação de plantas (PPM)?

Plant Preservative Mixture (PPM), é um biocida de amplo espectro para cultura de tecidos de plantas. PPM é a solução definitiva para a luta sem fim contra a contaminação microbiana pelo ar, pela água e endógena.

SOBRE A MISTURA DE PRESERVATIVOS DE PLANTA (PPM)

PPM ™ é um preservativo / biocida estável ao calor que pode ser usado para prevenir ou reduzir efetivamente a contaminação microbiana em cultura de tecidos de plantas.

  • Em doses ideais, PPM , que significa Plant Preservative Mixture , é um preservativo / biocida extremamente eficaz, mas não prejudica a germinação de sementes in vitro, proliferação e regeneração de calos.
  • PPM  impede a germinação de esporos de bactérias e fungos. É estável ao calor e, portanto, pode ser autoclavado com a mídia.
  • PPM  pode ser e deve ser usado como um ingrediente padrão em meios de cultura de tecidos de plantas e também é substancialmente mais barato do que os antibióticos comumente usados.

Embora o PPM  tenha sido projetado principalmente para inibir a contaminação transportada pelo ar, a contaminação transportada pela água e a contaminação introduzida pelo contato humano, ele também pode – em muitos casos – ser usado para reduzir a contaminação endógena.

Apesar do uso mais rigoroso de técnicas estéreis, a contaminação de células vegetais e culturas de tecidos vegetais continua sendo um problema persistente que pode resultar em perdas que variam desde um pequeno número de culturas até a perda de lotes inteiros.
